Day 1: Lemosho Gate to Forest Camp

Start your 7 days Kilimanjaro with a drive to the Lemosho Gate (elevation: 2,385 meters), where you’ll meet your guides and porters. Trek through lush rainforests, spotting exotic flora and fauna along the way. Reach Forest Camp (elevation: 2,750 meters) for your first night’s stay.

Day 2: Forest Camp to Moir Hut Camp

Ascend through the rainforest, gradually transitioning to moorland terrain. Pass scenic viewpoints and arrive at Moir Hut Camp (elevation: 4,200 meters). Enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape as you acclimate to the increasing altitude.

Day 3: Moir Hut Camp to Barranco Camp

Continue your ascent, traversing rugged terrain and crossing the expansive Shira Plateau. Reach the unique rock formations of Lava Tower (elevation: 4,630 meters) before descending to Barranco Camp (elevation: 3,976 meters). Prepare for the challenging Barranco Wall tomorrow.

Day 4: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

Tackle the iconic Barranco Wall, a thrilling scramble with rewarding views. Traverse scenic valleys and ridges before reaching Karanga Camp (elevation: 3,995 meters). Rest and recharge for the final push to the summit.

Day 5: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

Ascend to Barafu Camp (elevation: 4,600 meters), the final base camp before the summit. The landscape becomes increasingly barren as you approach the alpine desert. Prepare for the summit bid with a hearty meal and plenty of rest.

Day 6: Barafu to the Summit to Mweka Camp

Begin the summit ascent under the starlit sky, following a steep, rocky trail. Witness the breathtaking sunrise from Uhuru Peak (elevation: 5,895 meters), the highest point in Africa. Descend to Mweka Camp (elevation: 3,100 meters) for a well-deserved rest.

Day 7: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate to Arusha or Moshi
