Day 1: Machame Gate to Machame Camp
Our journey begins at Moshi town to Machame Gate (1,800 meters / 5,905 feet), where we meet our experienced guides and fellow climbers. After completing park formalities, we commence our trek through lush rainforests, marveling at the diverse flora and fauna. Ascending steadily, we reach Machame Camp (3,010 meters / 9,875 feet), nestled amidst the trees, where we settle in for our first night on the mountain.
Day 2: Machame Camp to Shira Camp
Leaving Machame Camp behind, we continue our ascent towards the towering peaks of Kilimanjaro. Trekking through moorlands and heath, we reach Shira Camp (3,840 meters / 12,600 feet), perched at the edge of the Shira Plateau. As we rest for the night, we’re treated to breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape and the star-studded sky above.
Day 3: Shira Camp to Barranco Camp
